Read beyond the declarations.
Insurance 102 · Policy depth
Go beyond coverage labels. Work with identified policy-form excerpts, trace grants through definitions and exclusions, and see how conditions, limits, and changed facts alter the answer.
About the course.
Insurance 102 puts the policy language on screen. We read the actual provision, follow its cross-references, and work the facts that decide whether the promise applies. Cinematic business moments establish the problem; close reading does the technical work.
Instead of stopping at a definition, you will examine where grants narrow, exceptions restore coverage, endorsements change the form, and the client’s documents or dates change the conclusion. The goal is more precise technical judgment: knowing what the form says, what the facts establish, and what still needs to be verified before you advise a commercial client.
New to the field? Insurance 101 builds the program foundation first. Ready to apply policy reading under pressure? Insurance 103 will move into complex scenarios.
